Looking out the window of the gym this morning, as i was cursing the elliptical machine for its terrorizing tactics, this is what I saw:
And I got to thinking. How great would it be if all the trucks and busses in NY had loving messages written on top. So much of our life in the city is above ground. I'd like to see "I LUV U..." more often when I look down!
I wondered how could I do that, guerrilla style, and plaster the truck roofs with positive messages all over the city without getting arrested? Feel free to share ideas...
Enjoy the day!

ok, i'm reposting a comment (after my first disapeared into the cyber), because I LUV U.
ReplyDeletemy question is whether this is guerilla at all, or just simple love or repentance?
on a personal level, did the guerilla mean to right a wrong (and seek forgiveness) by putting this on the top of a bus for the wronged to see? or was is selfless, and given to another out of joy? or was it a bus driver who can't talk to his child any other way than by communicating from the roof because anything else would be a legal transgression?
it's all guerilla, i just wonder who the author is????? and why.
I also wondered who wrote it and why. I guess in my imagination- I wasn't even sure if the truck driver (it was a vita water truck) even knew what was on the roof of his or her truck. I thought perhaps someone, in the dark of night, stealthily climbed on the truck and wrote I LUV U as a message to someone, or all of us, and wondered what would happen if we all did so, like a love ambush... guerrillas of love.
ReplyDeletelike the idea... I wonder.
